* WINDSHIELD CHIP REPAIR *

A black car with a window partially rolled down parked next to a white vehicle, with a person visible through the car's reflection, and an ambulance in the background. The car's interior and side mirror are visible, and the image is taken outdoors on a sunny day.

Repairing a chip or splinter in a windshield is possible if it's smaller than 1 inch (about the size of a quarter) or if a crack is less than 3 to 6 inches long, although it's not recommended if the damage is directly in front of the driver. More extensive damage usually requires complete windshield replacement.
